What this service is

Chula Vista Fire Damage is a lead-matching website for fire, smoke and soot damage in Chula Vista and South San Diego County. It publishes guides and takes requests from homeowners. Nobody working on it inspects, cleans, boards up or repairs houses, and it has no contractor's role in any job.

No restoration company receives requests from this site yet, so a request sent now is read by the people who run the site and passed to nobody.

Who you make an agreement with

If you hire a restoration company you found through this site, your agreement is with that company alone. The price, the scope of the work, the schedule and the quality of the result are between you and them. Chula Vista Fire Damage is not a party to that agreement, does not supervise the work and makes no promise about it.

What it costs you

Reading the site and sending a request are free. Sending one doesn't book anything or leave you owing anyone money.

The guides are general information

The pages on this site explain fire damage, cleaning, costs and insurance rules in general terms, with their sources named. They are not legal, insurance or safety advice for your particular house or policy, and they can go out of date. Your policy, your insurer and your local fire department have the final word. If a source we cite disagrees with us, the source is right.

Using the form fairly

Only send a request about a property you own, rent or look after, and only give contact details that are yours or that you have permission to use. Don't use the form to advertise, to test it with automated programs, or to send anything unlawful. We may delete any request that breaks these rules.

Links and photographs

Links to other websites, mostly government and public-health pages, are there because we used them as sources; we don't control those sites. The photographs on this site illustrate the damage a page describes. They are not pictures of work anyone did through this service.

Liability

We offer the site without any warranty. As far as the law permits, Chula Vista Fire Damage accepts no liability for losses caused by relying on its guides, or by work a restoration company does or leaves undone.

Changes and governing law

These terms may change when the service changes, and the date at the top moves when they do. California law applies to them. How your details are handled is covered separately in the privacy policy, and questions about these terms can be sent through the form on the contact page.
